Microsoft Surface Mini Coming In Late 2014

MSFTNerd, an accurate source for Microsoft related leaks, confirmed via their Twitter account that 2014 will witness the launch of Surface Mini. Don't expect a smaller Surface tablet to pop up tomorrow, or even next month. Surface Mini is due late 2014 and will most likely support LTE connectivity. Also, with Windows 8.1 Update 1, Microsoft is adding 64-bit InstantGo support (always-on connectivity without sipping all of the battery juice) for BayTrail+, AMD Mullins & Broadwell SoCs paired with 4 GB of RAM or higher.

Is MSFTNerd hinting at the possibility of an AMD powered Surface Mini (with 4 GB RAM)? Could be, but we won't find out for sure until later this year. Rest assured, Surface Mini is very much real, and is in the works.
